The game moves fast. Let's rewind.
A new home for basketball's biggest stories, smallest details and most gloriously unnecessary moments.
One more look changes the story.
The shot goes in. The crowd loses it. The clip ends. But somewhere before that shot, a screen changed the possession, a defender made a choice, or a coach spotted something the rest of us missed. That is where BasketRewind starts.
We are building an independent English-language basketball publication and channel for people who love the game and want more from it: a clearer view of the week, a better explanation of the play, and the occasional laugh at something that deserves one.
The week. The plays. The madness.
Weekly Rewind will connect the stories that mattered. Plays of the Week will revisit the best of the NBA and Europe. After the Buzzer will collect basketball's less serious moments. NBA or NTA? will bring a sense of humour to footwork, whistles and the internet's remarkably confident referees.
The NBA is a central part of our coverage. European basketball has a permanent place here too. A great possession in Belgrade, Madrid or Warsaw should not need an NBA connection to earn our attention.
The replay comes with receipts.
Each published episode will have its own page: the story, the useful context and links to the material behind it. We will make it clear when we are reporting, explaining, offering an opinion or making a joke. If the evidence changes, the page should change with it.
Our archive will let you follow a series or revisit an argument after the noise has moved on. A correction belongs beside the original claim, where readers can find it.
Welcome to the first possession.
This launch edition introduces the publication and its editorial approach. The first video series are in development. For now, start with our guide to the gather and our case for treating Europe as essential basketball territory.
Bring your curiosity. Bring your favourite team. You may want to leave a little room for being wrong. We will.
